For the Love of Colorguard (FLOC) was established October 27th, 2005 with the purpose to improve colorguard within the JMU and local communities. FLOC started as a small group of eight people helping the Marching Royal Dukes Colorguard and JMU Nuance Winterguard. Those eight people are known as our founders and include: Suzanne Gendreau, Laura Gooding, Misha Drauszewski, Erin Johnson, Cat Nightengale, Tara Lowrie, Molly Hoffman, and Sara Drauszewski (pictured below). About 6 months later, FLOC received official club status on April 4th, 2006. Now, almost 20 years later, FLOC now has around 50 active sisters who all embrace our motto; service through interaction. We continue to support both the JMU and local colorguards, host our annual spin clinic and service the community in harrisonburg to help fulfill our mission.
